Mental Health

Mental health is an essential aspect of overall well-being, and we are committed to supporting our pupils in every way possible. We are proud to work with the dedicated Mental Health Support Team (MHST) at the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services for West Berkshire to promote positive mental health and emotional resilience within our school community.

Services on Offer

The CAMHS Mental Health Support Team (MHST) work in local schools with young people aged 5-18 years and their parents/carers to provide early help and support with mental health and wellbeing. They typically offer parent-led and guided self-help interventions: Helping Your Child with Fears and Worries and Incredible Years Parenting Programme.
CAMHS also offer workshops/group work, consultations, parent drop-ins, and staff briefings, as a part of their Whole School Approach to Mental Health.

How to Access Support

Speak to a member of our Inclusion Team — our SENCOs, Mrs E Connor or Mrs L Lewis, or our Home School Link Worker and Mental Health Lead, Miss C Collard. You can do this by contacting the school office to arrange a meeting to discuss your concerns.
Following your initial discussion, the Inclusion Team will make any necessary referrals to CAMHS. If CAMHS are unable to offer direct support, they will advise you on where to find the most appropriate help.
