Celebrating Curiosity and Discovery: British Science Week 2025

12th March 2025
British Science Week is a ten-day celebration of science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM), designed to spark curiosity and inspire learning across the UK. Organised by the British Science Association, the event encourages schools, families, and communities to explore the wonders of science through hands-on activities, experiments, and discussions.

This year’s theme is  'Change and Adapt', encouraging the exploration of how organisms, environments, and technologies evolve and adjust over time. Through engaging activities and thought-provoking discussions, people of all ages will have the opportunity to develop their scientific thinking and see how STEM shapes the world around us.

As part of our British Science Week celebrations, we are encouraging pupils to take part in the British Science Week Poster Competition. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to showcase their creativity and scientific knowledge by designing a poster linked to this year’s theme. Winners will have their work shared nationally, celebrating their ideas on a wider platform.

More details on how to enter have been can be found on their website or on the document below – we can’t wait to see our pupils’ brilliant ideas come to life!

We have also included a selection of fun activities from the BSW 2025: Primary Activity Pack for the whole family to enjoy.
