A Time to Remember: Whiteknights Remembrance Day Service

8th November 2024
Today, Whiteknights Primary pupils and staff came together for a moving Remembrance Day service. As part of a solemn tradition, each child crafted a poppy for our ceremony.
This year, we placed these poppies on a wooden cross, forming a collective tribute to those who have served and sacrificed. Two members of our Year 6 leadership team honoured the occasion by reciting a beautiful poem, followed by a minute's silence — a powerful moment of reflection shared by all. To conclude, our school choir performed a song, adding a touching note to the service.
This annual service is a valued part of our school calendar, helping to instil in our children a sense of remembrance, respect, and gratitude for those who came before us.
