Celebrating Success: Danielle Shines Bright at Chess Tournament

On Saturday, 20th April, Danielle (Year 5) showcased her chess prowess at her first external chess tournament held at St Margaret Clitherow School in Bracknell. Danielle, a member of the Whiteknights chess club since its inception last year, joined 17 other children from various year groups and schools in engaging in timed chess matches.

Despite the stiff competition, Danielle demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, securing an impressive 4th place overall. Furthermore, she was awarded the prestigious title of best lady player. 

Danielle thoroughly enjoyed the experience and is eagerly anticipating her next tournament. Congratulations, Danielle, on a fantastic performance!
