Celebrate National Libraries Week: Help Us Refresh Our Whiteknights Library!

This week marks National Libraries Week, and what better time to celebrate the importance of reading and our school library? At Whiteknights, our children love nothing more than borrowing books from the library, with thousands of titles being enjoyed every year. Some books, however, have become firm favourites, and as you can imagine, they often come back to school looking a little worse for wear after being packed into book bags or having a close encounter with a leaky water bottle!
While we’d love to replace these well-loved, ‘dog-eared’ books every time they begin to show signs of wear, it’s not always financially possible. That’s why we’re excited to announce our partnership with the Scholastic Book Wish List scheme, offering families the opportunity to donate books directly to our school library.
All books on the wish list are available for donation, and as an added bonus, for every £1 spent, we’ll receive 20p towards even more books for the library! You can browse the wish list and make your donation securely online by visiting WHITEKNIGHTS PRIMARY SCHOLASTIC BOOK WISH LIST.
If you would like to contribute, please place your order by 5th November 2024, and the books will be delivered directly to the school.
