Food and Drink at School
School meals are provided daily by Caterlink. Read more about Caterlink and the current menu by clicking here.
If you have any issues with Caterlink or need to speak to them about any special dietary requirements, you can phone the school number (0118 987 2588) and select option 2 to speak to the catering staff directly.
If your child does not want a school meal they can bring a packed lunch of a healthy nature. We discourage parents from providing crisps and chocolate products in lunchboxes, and fizzy drinks are not allowed.
All lunch boxes, flasks and purses must be labelled clearly with your child's name.
At morning break all Foundation Stage and Key Stage One children are given a free piece of fruit or vegetable, while Key Stage Two children may bring in a piece of fruit or vegetable or a healthy snack from home.
A carton of chilled semi-skimmed milk is available through the Cool Milk for Schools scheme. For children under 5 years of age this is provided free of charge. For children of 5 and over there is a charge for this.If you would like your child to have milk you will need to complete the application form. Click here to open the form.
We encourage children to drink water throughout the day, particularly when the weather is hot, and they should bring in a water bottle with a sports-type top.
